Magazine's version of TiVo?

Have you ever noticed on the cover of some major magazine publications such as Vanity Fair, the page numbers that take you right to the article?

In my opinion, this is the magazine industry's version of TiVo. They enable the viewer, in this case a passive reader, to simply flip past the print ads and go right to the article.

If you have an opinion on magazine's ad-zapping tactics, please add a comment.

Online Zeitgeist returns!!!

After a few years of being away from blogging, I felt it was necessary to return in order to chronicle, as best I can, the amazing (and sometimes misguided) direction the communication industry is going.

I have a genuine passion for the advertising industry. That passion has grown and adapted (if that's possible) to accept the new forms of communication such as Facebook and Twitter.

While I value their place in our communication I do not feel they've become the missing pieces to the puzzle.

Over time, I hope to foster a healthy debate to address the changes that are constantly occurring. Changes that should be accepted and viewed as the sign of the times we now live.
